Fixed castors by Gesa

A fixed castor consists of a wheel and a housing with non-pivoting suspension. As a result, this role can only run straight, which makes it particularly accurate and fast. The fixed castor is therefore a non-swivelling castor and is the opposite of the Swivel castor, which can also be freely rotated vertically. The combination of two castor variants, two fixed castors and two swivel castors, enables stable straight travel and also very good manoeuvrability.

The rolling resistance  of fixed castors varies depending on the material properties of the wheels or whether the wheels are

Deep groove ball bearing

Roller bearing

or plain bearing.

You can find information on rolling resistance on our product pages using graphic representations.

Comparison of types of steering and fixed forks:

RAR series (bucket housing on request):

Load capacity
up to 100 kg
Diameter
75-125 mm

Sheet steel housing with bolt hole attachment. Fork head with double ball ring. The base plate is firmly riveted to the fork part, while we ensure that there is little play in the fork head with high ease of movement. The RAR series is suitable for hand-shifted loads of up to 100 kg.

LAR series / BAR housing

Load capacity up to 100 kg
Diameter 75-125 mm

Sheet steel housing with plate mounting. Fork head with double ball ring. The base plate is firmly riveted to the fork part, while we ensure that there is little play in the fork head with high ease of movement. The BAR series is suitable for hand-shifted load capacities of up to 100 kg.

Series L / fixed housing B

Load capacity up to 500 kg
Diameter 80-260 mm

Sheet steel housing with plate mounting. Fork head with double ball race and sealing ring  against the ingress of dirt and dust. The base plate is firmly riveted to the fork part, while we ensure that there is little play in the fork head with high ease of movement. The L series is suitable for hand-shifted load capacities of up to 500 kg.

LG series / Bock housing BG

Load capacity up to 900 kg
Diameter 100-250 mm

Sheet steel housing with plate mounting. Fork head with double ball race and with hardened bearing shells, thus largely insensitive to impacts. The greased ball tracks are protected against the ingress of dirt and dust with sealing rings. The base plate is firmly screwed to the fork part and secured, while we ensure that there is little play in the fork head with the greatest possible ease of movement.

LVK series / Bock housing BG

Load capacity up to 1000 kg
Diameter 125-200 mm

Sheet steel housing with plate mounting. There is a sealed 2RS ball bearing in the fork head. The ball bearing is protected against the ingress of dirt and dust. The base plate with four screw holes is firmly screwed to the fork part and secured to ensure the greatest possible ease of movement with the smallest amount of play in the fork head.

LLAK series / BBAK fixed case

Load capacity up to 2500 kg
Diameter 100-520 mm

Steering forks with plate attachment of the LLAK series are Heavy-duty welded steel constructions. The slewing ring in the fork head is equipped with an axial grooved ball bearing (DIN 711/ ISO 104) and tapered roller bearing (DIN720/ISO 355) with two bearings. Although the bearings are lubricated for life, they can also be relubricated via a grease nipple if necessary. Fork part and fork head are screwed to a very robust center bolt and secured by riveting, the fork is yellow chromated.

LAK series / BAK case

Load capacity up to 10000 kg
Diameter 100-300 mm

LAK series steering forks with plate attachment are Welded steel constructions in a super-heavy design. The slewing ring in the fork head is fitted with an axial grooved ball bearing (DIN 711/ ISO 104) and tapered roller bearing (DIN 720/ISO 355) with two bearings. Although the bearings are lubricated for life, they can also be relubricated via a grease nipple if necessary. Fork part and fork head are bolted to a very robust central bolt and secured with a spot weld, the fork is yellow chromated.
