Ball turntables: general information
Today, goods or materials revolve around ball bearing turntables or steering ball bearings in almost every company. Turntables have become an indispensable part of our everyday life. For example, in multi-axle vehicles with turntable steering, turntables form parts of the front axle to which the drawbar is movably connected. The steering in curves is done by simply swiveling the rigid axle - Ball turntables ensure the necessary rotation and steerability.

Ball turntables for transport equipment
The ball bearing turntables are used on many transport devices - for example on hand truck, bicycle trailers and Transport trailers used in turntable steering systems. Transport devices are usually heavily used when they are used - so it is all the more important that high-quality, robust turntables are installed here.
Regular maintenance and care of the turntable steering are the prerequisite for the transport devices you use to remain functional for a long time. Therefore, make it a regular task to check that the turntables are fastened securely and move freely. The slewing ring should also be lubricated regularly. Integrated lubricating nipples of the turntables enable this maintenance work.

Power transmission for ball bearing turntables
Steering rings are constructed in such a way that they have a row of supporting and retaining balls between the upper and lower rings. This special design ensures optimal and low-wear power transmission.
The loads acting axially on the turntable are reduced by the large < strong>Carrying balls transferred in vertical direction; horizontal tensile and compressive forces are transmitted by the smaller retaining balls . Thus, moment loads such as braking and centrifugal forces are optimally absorbed in the interaction of the support and retaining balls. Furthermore, the row of retaining balls connects the upper and lower ring.
Functional safety with ball bearing turntables
The design principle of our ball bearing turntables ensures maximum safety. The axial and radial forces acting on the turntable are transferred separately to both rows of balls.
The turntable profiles from Gesa Transport technology have the highest quality standards. They are cold formed from special steel, butt welded and calibrated. Our turntables can therefore also be used safely under extreme conditions.

Due to their high quality, our ball bearing turntables have an extremely long service life and guarantee smooth operation. The ball track is additionally reinforced under load by the support balls, the interior of the track is permanently protected against dirt by a labyrinth seal.
The right choice for ball bearing turntables
The right choice for the right ball bearing turntable is not so easy to make, because everything that is designed for navigating large loads must be extremely precise be coordinated with each other!
So be careful the selection of the right turntable to each individual dimension:

Our turntables are not drilled, so you can determine the hole circle diameter, position, number and dimensions of the holes yourself.
