Gesa heavy-duty trailer with various options
Industrial trailers for the internal transport of heavy materials or goods are pulled by a tractor, such as a forklift. The transport trailers are equipped with an eyelet on the drawbar and are thus attached to the towing vehicle.
A standard industrial trailer consists of a mostly elongated platform or loading area, four wheels (with higher load capacity also twin wheels) and the drawbar with eyelet.
Our industrial trailers are equipped with a plywood loading area made of waterproof glue as standard. The surface is non-slip and ensures safe transport of your goods. -For special cases or for special loads, Gesa Transporttechnik also offers industrial trailers with special loading surface coverings such as sheet metal covering (tear plate or smooth sheet metal).
- Industrial trailer with 1-axle turntable steering
These heavy-duty transport vehicles have a turntable at the front, which is used to steer the trailer. The rear axle is rigid and does not steer. These industrial trailers are used when a curve radius can also be very large. With very tight curves, the stability is rather low.
- Industrial trailers with 2-axle turntable steering
Industrial trailers with turntables, front and rear, have good directional stability and are clearly non-tilting. Nevertheless, caution is required when driving tighter radii.
- Industrial trailer with 4-wheel axle steering
With axle steering, all four wheels on the industrial trailer can be steered. This option for our industrial trailers makes it possible to drive the trailer with tight radii. Furthermore, these models are also very directional and have a high level of security.
There are various wheel and tire options for low rolling resistance, even with heavy loads. Our industrial trailers are equipped with elastic solid rubber tires or heavy-duty pneumatic wheels with industrial profile as standard.
All industrial trailers have a parking brake as standard, which acts on the wheels when the drawbar is raised and brakes the trailer safely. Of course, the trailer can be equipped with a crank brake if the customer so desires. Additional equipment for braking while driving is also possible.
